Field, water & trail.
Every activity on the reserve — set on the Dharabi Dam near Kallar Kahar — is managed within the limits of its conservation plan: regulated seasons, defined water areas and marked trails, so the land can carry both wildlife and visitors.
01 — Field
Hunting
Seasonal hunting of black francolin, grey partridge and wild pheasant, plus recreational clay pigeon and skeet shooting.
The reserve's dry subtropical semi-evergreen scrub — broad-leaved trees, shrubs and a basal grass cover — is the preferred habitat of black and grey francolins. DPWR ensures sustainable hunting of the wildlife species permitted to be harvested from the reserve, including black francolin, grey partridge and pheasant, alongside recreational clay pigeon and skeet shooting.

02 — Water
Water Sport
The Dharabi Dam and its internal reservoir support a full range of recreational water activities, from jet skiing to still-water fishing.
The reserve offers numerous recreational water sport activities — kayaking, jet skiing, motor boating and swimming — set against the still backdrop of the dam and its wetland margins.
03 — Trail
Hiking
Located on the southern edge of the Potohar Plateau, the reserve's terrain rewards those willing to climb.
The area offers rocky terrain, stunning landscapes and steep descents into valleys, with challenging elevations and scenic routes for hiking — winding past the reserve's wetlands, scrub forest and low hills.
